Before I connected with my weight coach, I was 46, and I wasn't happy. I thought I knew why. The weight.
Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, high intensity group exercise classes and boot camps, hiring a trainer, hiring a nutritionist/dietician. And the diets! Low fat, Weight Watchers, Keto, Paleo…. I did it all.
And some of it worked. Sort of. For awhile. But not long term. I was treating the symptoms, not the real problem.
I thought there was something wrong with me that the doctor just hadn't found. I couldn't control myself. I lacked willpower. I had a commitment problem. I loved sweets and salty crunchy snacks in front of the TV at night. I felt guilty and ashamed.
I just didn't understand the root cause of the issue and how to address it.
In 2020, a weight coach changed my life. I lost 50 pounds at age 46 and have kept it off ever since. I feel so much better. Fewer prescriptions, less pain, more energy. And most importantly, I just feel comfortable in my own skin.
But the surprises that came as part of the journey were the real gifts. More peace. Better relationships. Less stress.
Now I share what I've learned and provide clients with accountability and support as they lose weight for life.
